W elcome to the Benjamin Franklin Treasure Trail— an imaginative guide to exploring the many special exhibitions celebrating Benjamin Franklin’s 300th birthday in Philadelphia. Between now and May 31, 2006, you’ll have the opportunity to visit twenty-one major institutions involved in the Treasure Trail quest.  At each stop, you will get your Treasure Trail passport stamped while gaining intriguing new insights into America’s most fascinating founding father.

Once you have completed at least five stops on the Benjamin Franklin Treasure Trail, return to this Web page to test your Franklin knowledge and win a Certificate of Achievement.

You can receive a new certificate at each of the following levels:

Levels of Achivement

Visit at least five locations: become a Friend of Franklin
Benjamin Franklin Treasure Trail
Visit at least ten locations: become an Ingenious Inventor
Visit at least fifteen locations: become a Junto Member
Visit all twenty-one locations: you are an Esteemed Philosopher*

*All Esteemed Philosophers will be entered in a drawing to win a Franklin Goody Basket from the Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary!

Start the Journey

To begin the Benjamin Franklin Treasure Trail, visit the Benjamin Franklin: In Search of a Better World exhibition at the National Constitution Center, 525 Arch Street, Independence Mall, and pick up your free passport. Please note that the twenty-one exhibitions run at different times during the celebration, so you’ll need to plan your visits carefully to see them all.
